Students ages 8+ bundle up and join us for an unforgettable winter experience on the farm! Dive into winter farm life with hands-on activities that teach the importance of nature, animals, and sustainable farming—even in the colder months.
Adam Orlando and Denise Bosworth from Rohrbach's farm will be presenting all about apples! What is pruning? Grafting? Dormancy? Why do apple trees in Pennsylvania prefer cold temperatures? Students will have a hands-on experience with exploring all the aspects of growing apples.
We will sample a few varieties of apples for a taste test and learn how to make applesauce that students will take home with them after class!
Children will receive lunch during the camp but we do encourage them to bring snacks and drinks for throughout the day.
*Please note that this camp will be hosted at The Bloomsburg Children's Museum Discovery Corner. This is at Mulberry Mills Apartments at 160 W. 6th Street.*
